Free software for business is the focus at the CeBIT 2006, Hall 5, Stand E 58/1: at the top of each hour, the LinuxForum features presentations on implementing Linux and Open Source solutions. Each event day from March 9th to 15th focuses on a particular theme such as Security, Virtualization, or Linux in Public Administration.

Speakers include prominent industry figures such as Tom Schwaller and the Linux Evangelist Jon "maddog" Hall. The LinuxForum is moderated by the Linux Magazine editorial team, the Forum program is organized by Linux New Media, publisher of several Linux magazines. The speaker slots are organized in full hours, starting at the top of the hour. Each presentation lasts 30 minutes, followed by 15 minutes for questions and answers and 15 minutes for teardown and setup.
